Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited finally broke their losing run in the ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League when they beat host Fortis Football Club Limited 1-2 at the Shaheed Muktijoddho Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi on Saturday.

With the crucial win, Sheikh Russell now bit relieved position as they earned 14 points from as many matches that took them in the eighth position. They are now eight points clear Brothers Union who are in the bottom position of the table. Fortis FC remained in the sixth position with 16 points.

Fortis took the lead following a neat strike from Pa Omar in the 31^st minute. However Sheikh Russel responded just five minutes later when Ganiu levelled the thing. Fortis defender Abdullah gifted an own goal to Sheikh Russel in the 64^th minute that helped the side third win in the league.
