Sheik Russel took the numerical advantage and registered a 2-1 win over Sheik Jamal Dhanmodi Club in their first match of the BPL.

Sheik Russel dominated the first half and got early lead with the fifth minute goal of Selemani Landry. Sheikh Jamal was further weakened when defender Kiran was shown a card in the stoppage time of first half.

Jugoslav Trenchovski side took the advantage and extended the lead four minutes into the second half when center back Ogunbe’s header beat the Sheikh Jamal keeper.

But 10-man Sheik Jamal continued to fight and hit back right before the hour-mark with the goal of Shokhrukhbek Kholmatov.

However, Sheikh Russel finally finished their nerve-wracking battle with 3 points.
