Lackluster Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited failed to taste second win in the ABG Bangladesh Premier League in their fifth match as they played a goalless tie with Fortis Football Club Limited at the Bashundhara Kings Arena on Saturday.

Russel, the treble winners in the 2012-13 seasons, failed to taste a win their last four matches. Russel started their journey with a 2-1 win over Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited before sharing one point with Mohammedan SCL. They suffered two consecutive defeats against Police and Abahani Limited Dhaka that put them in the eighth position in the 10-team league. Saturday they managed a escape a defeat against Fortis FC but remained at the same position with five points from as many matches. Fortis FC earned same points but they are one position up then Russell.

After the fifth round of the BPL, Bashundhara Kings topped the points table with five straight win in as many matches. The four-time league winners kept the top position of the table with 15 points while Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited are in the second position with 11 points.
