History of the club: Rahtamganj Muslim Friends Society was established in old Dhaka in 1933, the last in the Bangladesh Premier League. Since then Rahmatganj is the known name of football in Dhaka. Despite regularly playing at the top level, the 90-year-old club has not had much success in football. Rahmatganj, who were runners-up in the First Division League in 1977, became runners-up in the Federation Cup in 2019.
